Company History The idea for Record Express came about when the founder, Nadine Albenze-Smith, an attorney, was participating in a statewide meeting of law firms. Approximately 50 law firms called the meeting to discuss the problems they were having with the available record retrieval companies. Problems included poor customer service, late records, no follow up on records requested, and general customer dissatisfaction. As the lawyers were discussing that there were no alternative record services to turn to, Nadine Albenze-Smith scribbled down the words "start a records retrieval business." Hence, the idea for Record Express was born. Our founder envisioned a company that would quickly process requests as soon as the customer submitted the order, and that understood that time is money in the legal field, and that records need to be in the customer's hands as soon as possible. She envisioned a company that would be attentive and responsive to customer needs and that would surpass the competition in providing excellent customer service in every aspect of its business, from taking orders to processing invoices. Ms. Albenze-Smith shared her idea for starting a record retrieval business with her then 16 year old son who suggested the name "Record Express" and created the draft of the company's logo that is still used today.
